So, I had to write this, cause it was cute...
The other day, Jeremy was saying our prayers at night and he was blessing our little boy to come out healthy with 10 fingers and 5 toes. Lol! I was trying so hard not to laugh that I don't remember what the rest of the prayer said. Then when he said 'amen' I fell over laughing and crying.
We actually saw one of his feet in the ultrasound pictures with all 5 toes, we never did see the other foot. Let's hope all his toes are there. :)

It's a Boy!!!
We are sooooooooooooooooooo excited! Today we went to a women's clinic in Provo to find out what we are having. It seems like it's been FOREVER for this day to come. We've both been on the countdown. My Dr wont even do the 'sex' ultrasound until I'm 21 weeks, but we found a clinic to go to that does the ultrasound at 16 weeks instead. We don't even have to be patients there. We just pay $50 and we're in!
As I mentioned in previous posts... I was SOOOOOOOOO sure it was a GIRL. I even showed up in my appointment wearing a pink shirt, ready to go to work and announce the big news of "pink". Our little guy was being shy and was laying on his side. The nurse had to keep bouncing the ultrasound thing on my belly to get him to move around. But he was stubborn (like his mom). Finally after about 15 minutes she said, "Oh... it's a BOY!" I sat up with a confused look and said, "Huh? It's a girl though. Can you check again?" So, she checked again and showed us his little bum, that we could see perfectly with a little arrow that said, "BOY" in the middle. :) Jeremy stood up with excitement and threw his hands and arms in the air while smiling. She took a few pictures for us to take home. (I still need to scan these pictures in and put them up) We got the cutest little picture of his profile. You can see where his eyes, nose and mouth are. It is so amazing to see!
I noticed our baby already has a cone head and he hasn't even come out yet. I happened to see a picture of Jeremy when he was a baby and YEP, you guessed it... cone head. :) lol So, I tease him now that he's already given our baby a conehead. ha haaa. I guess we will love him anyway. jk
We also FINALLY got to hear the heart beat today. That was when I got a little choked up. I am just still in amazement that this little person is about to be a part of our lives... a little walking and talking person with a personality and all. I can't wait to see his little face and hold him. I can't believe how much I already love this little guy and haven't even seen him yet. Life is simply amazing!

Still getting caught up on blog posts...
I've posted so many of them this last week, I bet its overwhelming to read. I can't even get my own husband to look at them, so I bet it's not too exciting to read a book about someone elses life. However, I've finished some of my posts all the way back to November of last year. I only have 1 left in April, 2 left in may and the rest are for July of this month. Wow. I've been bloggin', bloggin', bloggin'. Hope that some of you find it interesting. lol

Ireland?

As many of you may already know, there was a time about 5 months ago that Jeremy was talking to some co-workers in his Ireland office about possibly working there. They asked him to apply but because of the time of planning a wedding, he never did. One of the managers over in Ireland emailed him this morning about how he'd love Jeremy to be considered still, especially with his fluent French speaking abilities. The one problem is getting a work visa. So, we are going to call the Irish Embassy in Washington, DC tomorrow and see what we need to do to make it happen. We'd only be over there for 1-2 years on contract. So, we'll see. Keep your fingers crossed. That would be sooooooo awesome!
Good job babe! I'm so proud of you.

4th of July Weekend with a HERNIA!
What is a hernia?
A hernia occurs when a section of intestine protrudes through a weakness in the abdominal muscles. A soft bulge is seen underneath the skin where the hernia has occurred.
Yep, you read that right... H-e-r-n-i-a. :( Hernia's are "no bueno". I keep thinking that I can treat my body the same way before I was pregnant and keep finding out that it doesn't work that way. Apparently when work asked me to come in and help out with inventory in the warehouse at 7 am last Thursday, it wasn't the smartest idea for me to go and try to move and lift boxes around. At first I thought it was a muscle strain and that it would go away, but it just kept getting worse through out the day until I could barely walk. I talked to a nurse, and she told me it was a muscle strain and to take it easy. She asked if I could feel a hard knot in my stomach which I couldn't. So, she said it wasn't a hernia. Well, I just wasn't looking in the right place because a few hours later I found the little bugger and found that I could push it in, which alleviated some of the pain. Gross, right? I couldn't do anything all weekend. We had a long holiday weekend and I just sat on my butt... literally. I even watched all of the Harry Potter movies, all 5 of them. Jeremy and I also caught up on the HGTV Next Design Star and Food Networks Next Star. Jeremy did EVERYTHING for me this weekend. He rubbed my back, made breakfast/lunch/dinner, and was by my side every second. I was soooo bummed cause the 4th is one of my favorite holidays next to Christmas. I didn't even feel up to watching fireworks that night. We just kept on with the t.v. and movie schedule.

On Saturday night I thought I felt good enough to drag Jeremy to my mom's neighbors who were doing a neighborhood fireworks party. We didn't last very long before I was ready to go and lay down again. :( Sheesh! I think Jeremy is really getting in to the Design Star though, so I KNOW he couldn't wait to get home to see if it was on. :)
I made it through a couple hours of church on Sunday and back at work on Monday. :( I'm feeling a little better. I think it was good that I took it easy for the weekend.
Jeremy's Smashed Toe. Oh no!

Jeremy smashed his toe a few days ago. We got a pancake griddle as a wedding present and he dropped the cast iron griddle RIGHT on his pinky toe. Ouch! I was standing there watching when it happened. We think he actually broke it, but they can't do anything for a broken toe except wrap some tape around it. He'll have to wear flip flops for awhile. The pic above is not really his toe, I failed to take a pic of it... but, Jeremy's toe actually looke 10x worse than the pic above. It was soooo purple, it looked like a little grape ball on his foot. It made me want to gag when looking at it. His toe doesn't even point straight up now, it sits on the side (kind of like the picture I found online). Yuck! We had my uncle, the pediatrist, Dr. Scott, take a look at it and he said that there wasn't much he could do, but remove the toe nail before it fell off. Jeremy declined to have this done, but sure enough, his whole pinky toe nail fell off soon after. Double Yuck!
Get better little toe! :)

New Blog Posts Coming...
Ok... so I have been writing a lot of stuff and have about 17 blog posts to publish. But I don't want to publish the current ones before I publish some of the things that came sooner. Just know that I have been working hard on them and want to get them up in the near future. Most of them are even completed. :) Amazing, I know. Most of them I need to add pic's too so they are more exciting.
Since I already added the "baby" on the sidebar, I've decided to include most of my blog posts about the baby. I still need to add wedding stuff on here. Oops. lol
On another note, you can see that I've redesigned my whole blog. Thanks Suzanne! She is the Blogging Queen! You gave such good instructions on your blog. I don't even want to know how much time you spent putting those together. If any of you want help on your own blog, go to: http://sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com/. Props to Suzanne and her blogging talents! ;)

Blood Drive

Today Jeremy came to my work to donate blood for the blood drive we were having. I couldn't do it since I was pregnant, so I volunteered, Jeremy. I'm actually terrified of giving blood and needles, so I have to say... I don't know if I would've done it even if I wasn't prego.
I was already scared of giving blood, but at my last doctor's appointment they had me give blood. As Jeremy and I walked into the flabotomist (sp?) Jeremy asked, "so have you ever missed?" This large, burley woman with a scowl on her face says sharply, "no, never". Well, I think he jinxed it for me cause she stuck my arm 2x in one arm and couldn't get anything, stuck me in my other arm and couldn't get anything and then stuck me again in my original arm and had the needle in my arm forever. I can't look and refuse to. I was watching Jeremy's face and his eyes got big. I yelled at him to look away cause it was making me nervous. I ended up with the biggest bruise on my arm (and found later it would take 2 weeks to go away). After we left the Dr appt, Jeremy told me that she was digging in my arm with the needle and moving it back and forth while in my arm to try and get blood. So giving blood? Not so much fun for myself. However, I commend those that do it. Someone needs to.
Anyway, Jeremy asks the lady that is going to take his blood at the blood drive if she's ever missed and while he was at it he decided to ask her why I would've gotten such a big bruise. She said that the person taking my blood must've gone through a vein on both sides to do that. Wouldn't ya know that right after this conversation, she stuck Jeremy and missed and had to try again. Now he has a bruise on his arm. i told him not to ask people anymore.
And as a side note, I started crying while I was sitting there waiting for Jeremy to get his blood. Yes, I just sat there tearing up while eating cookies and juice that they gave me (even though I didn't give any blood, lol) because I was thinking about how special this blood is to someone elses life. Remember, I'm pregnant. I usually never cry about anything. Lately, everything makes me tear up. Everything and nothing...

Fat Clothes

I received the best package in the mail this weekend... Prego clothes from my sis (Holly, in NM). Luckily she has already had 3 kids and ample time to build up her maternity collection. My friend Heather also let me borrow all of her maternity clothes. So, this means that I have an entire new wardrobe of fat clothes. Plus they are all super cute! Double Thanks. Yay! It was such a blessing that I did not have to go buy very many new things. Thank you both for being so generous and letting me fatten your clothes up once again. I will take good care of them so that they will be ready for your next kid(s)!

Baby Green
So, this isn’t the best picture(s). It didn’t scan very well and it already wasn’t the best quality picture. But hopefully you can kind of tell what it is. The baby is lying on its side with their little head and back turned towards the camera. Then I labeled the picture below.
Our baby is:
13 weeks along
3 ½ inches long
Weighs 1 ½ oz
Due on January 2nd
Measuring to be due on December 30th
*Our doctor said we had a big baby. I KNEW it! Ha haa However, to everyone's foreboding, we are only have one baby and not two.
Wow… we got there and I was like, “Whoa, there really IS a baby in there! I thought I was just getting fat and feeling sick all the time.” It was quite the reality check for me.
I’m still grasping that it’s really real.
But, I have a ‘premonition’ that it’s a girl. I find out in 3 weeks. Thanks to my little sis, she tipped me off on a clinic in Provo that will do the sonogram at 16 weeks instead of the 21 wks my doctor was going to make us wait. :) Wahooo! I can hardly wait. So... the big "Mystery" will be solved on July 17th. Let's keep our fingers crossed that our little baby green is not turned with their back toward the camera like in the pics below. I would be sooooo sad! I can't wait to start buying stuff.
My next Dr appointment with MY doc is on July 23rd. And my 21 week appoint for "confirmation" of my sneakiness will be in August. He heee

Baby Names
Jeremy and I finally agree on a girl name and a boy name.
Here are the names we have chosen (…unless it changes).
If it’s a boy:
Teagan Amana Green
Amana Means: Sovereign- King, Ruler
Teagan is Irish - Amana is Tahitian
***Pronounced: “Tee-guhn” “Uh-Mah-Nuh”***
If it’s a girl (which it will be):
Kenadi Poema Green
Poema Means: Deep Sea Pearl
*Goes with my Tahitian name which means, “The Life of a Beautiful Black Pearl”
Kenadi is Irish - Poema is Tahitian
***Pronounced: “Kennedy” “Poe-Ay-Muh”***
PS. We have already decided we're not sold on Kenadi's middle name, so we're still trying to figure that one out.

Pregnancy Cravings
MyHotComments
So, I had my first WEIRD craving the other day. I've had lots of cravings being pregnant, but nothing too unusual like this one. What's funny about it is I go through spurts. At first I thought I'd like something for the whole time I was pregnant, but I was dead wrong. I could completely LOVE something and the next day think it's totally disgusting and never want to look at it or smell it again. Ewww...
The first thing I wanted every day was Jamba Juice and yogurt smoothies and berry drinks. I wanted them every single day for about a week and then one day they just repulsed me.
Then one week I wanted to eat nothing but soup and sandwiches. But not any soup, only the really brothy soups, nothing creamy.
Then the next week I wanted to eat strawberries on and with everything. I went through a little bucket of strawberries every day. Carried them around at work with me in a bag.
But the weird one I mentioned above was spontaneous. First you must know that I really don't like to eat white bread. Jeremy always wants me to buy it but I usually only eat wheat bread. I just like it better. Another thing, I do NOT like the processed cheese that comes in the little Kraft Singles packs. I throw them away if they are ever caught in my fridge. Let's face it, it's not real cheese. It's a slice of plastic. But one night we were on our way to my Dad's to watch the Orem city fireworks on his roof, cause he lives across the street from where they fire them off... and on the way there I just really, really, really wanted a sandwich. Not any sandwich, but a sandwich made with the white Wonder bread with turkey, ham, and chicken slices with processed cheese, Sweet relish, lettuce, plain potato chips and Miracle Whip, warmed up. Wow, eh? I made Jeremy stop off at the store and we bought all the stuff for it and brought it over to my Dad's and spread it out on the table. My dad was like, "Wow, isn't this quite the production." Jeremy looked at my sandwich in disgust after eating 2 of them and shook his head saying, "I'm glad you're pregnant and there's a reason you WANT to eat that."
ha ha... fun times, right?
Also, I must add on here how wonderful my husband has been in this whole thing. He has taken every bit of 'weirdness' as it comes and rolls with it on sympathy and helping me. If I woke up at 3am and said, "I want french fries with strawberries"... I know he'd go get it for me no matter how tired or ridiculous he thought it was. He has been sooo great and such a blessing for me. I think my trial with the pregnancy is more emotional than physical. I have had to learn to be less independent. I truly feel like a handicap most of the time and Jeremy never complains (only I do that). Thank you baby! Love you.

Humpherys / Green Open House
Last night we had our reception at Jeremy's brother Shane's house. It was so fun! I'm glad we did it (and glad it's done with). We had it outside in Shane & Sheri's backyard with a balloon guy for the kids and Cold Stone for everyone. It was casual and relaxing. Everyone got to sit out by the pool and mingle while we had our wedding videos playing in the background. I think/hope everyone had a good time. We had about 250 people come which isn't too bad considering we had about 150 people at our wedding and dinner. We have so many Thank You gifts and cards to get out to people. I have them all piled in a bag in my room. (sigh) I don't want anyone to think that we are ungrateful for all the gifts people have given. So, if you gave us something and are reading this, please know that this is one of my goals this next year... to be more consistent on sending things out or getting gifts to people. I'm terrible at it and want to be better. I seriously have some gifts for people that I bought 2 years ago. Uhh... yeah, it's kind of irrelevant now.
Anyway... there are some pic's from the big night below.
Thanks for everyone that came. It was so good to see some of you that we haven't see in forever and for all those that traveled to share our time with us. We appreciate you!
