Cards, Cards and More Cards!

Above is the first draft of my logo, but I have since changed the name from "BoXx'd, Start Your Party" to "Get BoXx'd ...with little Party Intuitions". I am still putting other stuff together for it and don't want to say too much. :) It's a secret still.

I've had an obsession making cards lately. I'm trying to get into the Holy Cow Boutique in November in Pleasant Grove. Here are some of the cards I've done. What'dya think?

Teagan vs. The Summer Outdoor Activities

Yesterday we went to the Orem Scera pool with Jenya and Avery. It is way better than 7 peaks. Especially because it is a lot more mom/kid friendly for little ones. It's only $5 to get in (under 1yo is free). And, instead of it being a huge, all day thing, you can go for just a couple of hours. (However, it still managed to be an all day event somehow.)

Jen took this picture and said that she was sorry for cutting off our heads. lol

Right when we got there, Teagan got tired and onery and got allergies really bad (which I didn't bring the Benadryl). His face broke out in a rash, one of his eyes got puffy, red and watery and his nose started to run. :( I have a really awful picture of it, but I didn't put it up. It just wasn't cute. lol

He was soooo tired! Here he is swimming in this cute little baby float they had there. He loved it. He just relaxed and slumped right over. He even fell asleep. What a cutie!

Since Teagy inherited his father's skin, I had to dowse him with SPF60, make sure he had a water shirt and a sun hat that covered his neck and ears. I'm proud to say that he got out of there with no sunburn. :)

Here is cute little Ave's. She was a lot more excited to see everything than Teagan. She was wide awake.

Congrats Joey & Nadia

Jeremy's best friend got married this last Friday in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. I consider Joey to be my brother-in-law because they are so close... and because Joey pops in all the time (not always the most convenient times...lol) just like part of the fam. We love him and are so happy for him and Nadia. As Joey's brother says, "There is a special place in heaven for Nadia" and we believe it! :) If you knew Joey, that would be a lot funnier. ha ha

This was the first temple sealing I'd been too and was honored to be a part of such a great event in their lives. It made me so excited to get sealed NEXT WEEK! It was such a personal and special day and we were so happy to be included.

Their reception was BEAUTIFUL! There was dancing, music, toasting and more. And since Nadia is from Russia, her parents flew out from Russia for their first time ever to the US. They came in town a few weeks ago and had the opportunity to travel around the western US with Joey and Nadia. We had them over a few Sundays ago and I so badly wanted to talk to them, but they don't speak one word of English. They are the CUTEST little parents I have ever seen. They had such a great spirit about them and I was very drawn to them. Nadia had to translate everything for us. Also, Nadia is a convert, so I kept wondering what they were thinking about all of this temple stuff... especially since they weren't able to understand anything that was said. Bless their little hearts. :)

Anyway, back to the reception... they did some Russian traditions that were new to me and I enjoyed the cultural enlightenment. We hope to travel over to Russia with them one of these days and let Nadia show us the ropes.

#1 Cubs Fan

Congratulations Lona!

Jeremy's sister Tina entered their mom, Lona, into a contest for the #1 biggest Chicago Cubs fan MOM. They do it every year around Mother's Day and the winner gets put on their site and wins $100 to the Wrigleyville Sports shop to buy apparel of their favorite team (cubs). This year, Jeremy's mom won! It is well deserved for sure. I have never seen a bigger Cubs fanatic than Lona. She rearranges her whole schedule to make sure she can watch every Cubs game. She even travels to Arizona in March to watch them in spring training and wheres some sort of Cubs apparel EVERY day! I'm not joking.

Here are some of the pictures that were submitted for the winning.

...And YES... this is a real Chicago Cubs tattoo. I tell ya, she is a serious fan!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was my first official Mother's Day! I got to sleep in, have breakfast made and Teag even made a card for me with a trace of his little hand on it. He is brilliant I tell ya! We went to church and found out that we are now going to be in a new stake starting next week and then left early for a Mother's Day BBQ over at Jeremy's brother Shane's house. We partied with the Green's for a bit and then headed over to dinner with my mom and Grandma. We tried to bolt over to the Humpherys' dinner after that, but didn't get there in time before they were done. We came home to clean a bit and am sitting down after Teag went to bed so that we can watch a movie.

I thought it would be weird to say I was a mom, but now that I am, it's not so weird because you FEEL like a mom. ha ha

I will add on here that after having a kid, I can see in a new perspective how important families are and how my little boy DESERVES to have a mommy and a daddy that love him and each other and deserves to have a good home. I am so grateful for the gospel. It makes my role in this life so purposeful and meaningful and so great of a responsibility with lots of room to grow and improve upon. I know that I've only been doing this for a few short months, but my life has changed forever. I know that this was the ultimate reason for every bit of "life" I've been through... and am looking forward to the new stages it brings. I hope I never take any of those stages for granted and enjoy every second of it.

Thank you to all the Mom's out there that give unconditional love and work their butts off for the bigger picture that they believe in. Happy Mother's Day!

Some New Pic's

We went to the park with my Dad today and attempted to take some family pic's with the dogs, but as you can see, I didn't post any of the dog pictures. It was too hard to get the dogs and a baby to look at the camera at the same time. Here are a few pictures that I really liked. I love the look on Teag's face in the last one and all the drool he has on his chin. Have I mentioned just how much I LOVE that kid?

I Have the Prophet's Autograph...

Best news ever! We got our clearance letter for our sealing in the mail today from the First Presidency. ...signed in ink by Thomas S. Monson, Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Wahooo! I am so excited.

Although we wanted to get sealed on our anniversary, I guess it wasn't meant to be since it was almost 2 weeks ago. If it works out for all the travelers, then we would like to get sealed in white at the Manti Temple on Friday, June 5th.

I'm not sealed to anyone, and Jeremy isn't sealed to anyone and little Teag isn't sealed to anyone... so it will be an awesome day!

Freebie Blogger

Save this to your favorites. It is the coolest blog. Plus for you married people with kids, it is fun to plan stuff around the free stuff. :) We have it saved to our favorites and check it daily.

Whenever anyone is giving out free stuff, it will be on this blog. Like the free KFC meals they advertised on Oprah or the free pasta bowls they were giving out at Dominoes. They also have grocery coupons that are awesome. Until I got married, I never clipped coupons or compared prices or looked for the deals. Now I think it's just plain dumb not to. Why not save money on stuff if you can?

Fat Head, Fat Lips

My Aunt Melanie gave Teag this cute little safari outfit and when I went to try it on Teag for the first time, his head wouldn't fit through the top of it. :( So, I took a picture of him on my phone with just the hat.

The other day when Jeremy was rocking Teag in the rocker, Teag's lips were so relaxed and pushed out. It was making me laugh. Look at those things! I think he gets them from me. :)

Wheeler Farm

I met up with some of my old friends from my Orem singles ward up at Wheeler Farm in Midvale last week. It's crazy we all have kids now. We used to hang out and go to karaoke and ride to Wendover in a moment's notice or go hiking all the time. Now we're meeting up for Kid Time. :) If you look close enough, there are little legs behind April. Amy's daughter did NOT want to be in the picture. lol. Teag had tons of fun. He was in complete awe of what all these new animals were. It was way cute.
