New Pet M&M

Teagan got a new pet beta fish today. He picked out the red one all by himself and has named him "M&M"... but he says it as "ma-nem-ma-nem". It's killing him not to touch it or hold it or do something to it... ANYTHING! lol He was so excited to bring it home. I don't have high hopes of it living very long. For 1) I'm not good at keeping fish alive. I once tried for 6 months and owned 36 fish during that time, but it was just no good for me. I don't have a talen with it. and 2) There is a 2 year old in the house. Anything can happen.

My New Calling

Last night I got a call from the Stake High Council to see if I could meet with them today after church. My new calling is Stake Girl's Camp committee. I was actually really excited because I have ALWAYS wanted to be in Young Women's again and especially Girl's Camp. Plus it's perfect because I can just put my input and help plan since I'm not available a whole lot working and all, not to mention being pregnant. I don't think I will be able to attend camp at all since the baby is due a month before. But, I am really excited to be a part of it!

PS. I posted a few more posts below.

More Updates...

So, I counted and see that I still have 21 posts that I have not finished yet. Ughhh! But, I've updated a few. They probably aren't as detailed as if I would've done it when it actually happened, but it's good enough to have anything, right? You can actually go all the way back through June of 2009. Maybe I will get another free night like this to do more updates. Yay!

Ta Dahh!

So, a lot has happened since I posted last. Most of you probably already know that we have our next one on the way. We are way excited and can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by. I decided I can't get hung up on all the posts that I'm behind, but just do them when I have time. I'm feeling bad that our next kid already doesn't have as much documentation as Teagan. But since I started working, I hardly even find time to get on the computer at all. My days are spent chasing a 1 year old and nights at work in the other room.

***You will have to scroll down my page at random to see if I've updated anything in the past.***

I have felt really good this pregnancy for the most part. I feel like all my symptoms are happening a month earlier than they did before, so that kind of sucks. I started showing faster, which I already show really early anyway... and I already have hip and back pains. At least my weight gain is down by 50% of what it was with Teagan... feeewww! But I shouldn't talk too soon... I'm only half way done. I craved everything bad for you when I was prego with Teagy, and luckily I have craved lots of fruits and vege's with this one, which makes eating a lot easier.

Also, if you couldn't tell already, we are having a boy again. I am soooo dang excited for Teagan to have a little brother that is so close in age. They will be 18 months apart. I never really had a close sibling growing up that I grew up with and lived with so I am really excited that Teagan will be able to experience that. Come to think of it... Jeremy really didn't have that either because he is the youngest and his sibling that is just older than him is 7 yearsw older. So, we are thrilled to have that in our family.

As for the name you see above, "Tate". It is what I keep calling the baby because I love it. I don't think Jeremy is totally on board, but I think it will set in as his identity if we keep at it. ha ha Teagy-Beeb and Tater-Tot! Perfect!

Happy New Year 2010!

I sent this out via email to everyone I could think of. If I missed you, I apologize.

Green
Family Newsletter 2010

[January, 2009]

Dear Family & Friends,
So here is our yearly holiday update. We never get around to sending this at Christmas, so our new tradition is sending it out after the New Year. I was going to wait and send this out after getting family pictures, but that just isn’t going to happen… so you will have take it with the snap shots we have right now.

I thought we wouldn’t be able to top the busy year we had last year, but I was wrong. With a new baby, there is never a dull moment and our life feels like it’s launching off… 

Family News
Jeremy has been busy with full time school and full time work. In between taking care of Teagan and doing homework there isn’t much time left to do anything but sleep and regenerate to start over again the next day. Jeremy has shined through all of our increased responsibilities this year. He has taken on more than he thought was possible and is successfully plowing through. I’m so proud of him and am so grateful to have a husband that cares for his family so much. I know he would do anything in our family’s best interest to provide and take care of the things we need. I’m blessed to have a husband that knows what is most important and puts us first.

I started back again in the working world in November and am still trying to find the balancing act that works best to fit everything in. It has been a tough year of looking for work with the economy. I’ve been greatly humbled after applying for 150 jobs to finally get the job I have. The Lord knew what job was right for me, because it ended up being a job that I can work from home at nights and weekends. Therefore, I can still stay at home with Teagan since Jeremy is off work by the time I start. However, it doesn’t leave much time for Jeremy and I to see one another that much. 

Teagan just turned the BIG ONE on Dec 19th. We can’t believe he’s already a year old. Teagan has filled our lives with so much joy and happiness and is truly a blessing to our family. He has such a sweet and special spirit and makes everyone around him smile. He loves anything that spins (wheels, wheels and more wheels) and loves anything that lights up or sparkles. He LOVES playing with balls and trucks! He is such a ‘boy’ through and through. He is known for his funny facial expressions and the funny noises that he makes up. Teagan is definitely a daddy’s boy. When daddy is home, he follows him around and is glued to him for the rest of the night. He also love, love, loves all of his grandpa’s and will sometimes even go to one of the grandpa’s before he goes to daddy.

Teagan started walking at only 10 months. As you can imagine, he is SO BUSY and into everything. He keeps us busy and running around all day. His doctor said that he is progressing really well and is impressed with him for walking so soon and so balanced. She was also impressed with his small vocabulary already. He says, “Wow”, “What’s that?” “Dad”, “Mama” and “Uh-oh”. He can also say “Baby”, “More”, “Bath” and “Ball” in sign language, (but never wants to do it when we want him to show someone, of course). He also loves music and dances to anything and everything with a beat.

Family Announcement
Our BIG announcement…. Baby Green #2 is on the way! I’m in my 2nd trimester and have been feeling really good this pregnancy (much better than my first one). The only complaint is that I’ve been really, really tired. But if that’s the only thing, then it’s not too bad.  We found out about the pregnancy after I was almost done with the 1st trimester… which tells you how much better I’m feeling this time around. I’m due on June 27 and will find out if it’s a boy or girl on January 11th. I am so positive it’s a boy and Jeremy is really hoping for a girl. We are so excited for Teagy to have a little brother or sister so close in age. I can’t wait for him to experience having a sibling and having a little lifelong buddy.

To Our Friends & Family
On a more spiritual note, we wanted to express our gratitude for all of the many blessings we have been given. It has been a really tough year for us and it sometimes takes some humbling hardships of life becoming more hectic and monetary means being less abundant to remember the things that count the most. The stress and busyness causes us to regroup and focus on the purpose and meaning we have here.

As many of you know, our little family was sealed together for time and all eternity on June 5th of 2009 in the Manti, Utah Temple. It was one of the most special and amazing days. I can attest that the adversary has worked very hard on us this year and we have become very dependent on the Lord. If we don’t stay close to our daily spiritual routine, things go downhill quickly. Everything starts falling apart around us when we don’t rely on the Lord in all we do. I know that it is through him and his atonement for us that we have a purpose and a plan.

Life really is all about family because that is who you have as your stability and as your rock foundation. They are the people that build you up and give you strength and encouragement when you are down. They are the people that give us purpose to keep going in the direction of our ultimate goals …even when it’s hard. Without our families we would live our lives with much uncertainty and without a sense of “place or home” in this world. Without family, we wouldn’t have anything to look forward to because there would be no one to share it with.

AND that rings true for all of the wonderful friends that we have been blessed with that we consider our family. Everyone needs a friend to lean on and have fun with and we have some of the best friends anyone could dream for. What a great feeling it is to be surrounded by so many people that love us and watch out for us. Thank YOU!

Wrapping It Up…
We hope that we can be that blessing and favor in return to you through our lives. I wish I could go on here and express what each of you have done to support us by making our lives better and easier but then no one would ever finish reading this letter. 

We wish you a happy and prosperous year of 2010! May your year be filled with the best surprises life can hand you and may we be there to experience it all with you.

With Much Love,
The Green’s

Happy 1st Birthday Teagan!

So, I knew that Teagan's birthday would be a little crowded with only having family there, but I chose to have it in our home anyway instead of renting out the clubhouse like usual. And I think I underestimated exactly how crowded it would be. We counted over 40 people in our little condo at one time. There was no where to sit and we had people standing in every area of our home. Needless to say, the party was very overwhelming for Teagan and he cried a good portion of it until people started clearing out. He didn't like having all eyes on him. I felt really bad. It may be a sign that he is not as much of a people person as his mom and dad are. My grandma Pat said to me at one point, "You shouldn't have invited all your friends..." and I replied, "We didn't. This is ALLLLL family!" We are very blessed to have so much family that are close by and care to be a part of little Teagy's birthday.

I'm sad that we don't have pictures of all the people that came, but it just got too hectic running around hosting that we didn't have time to take pictures. Thank you to our moms that came over to help set everything up bring food and to Grandpa's that cooked all the food.

We had a big BBQ with burgers and hot dogs, chips, dip, drinks and treats. Lona made her famous pasta salad and my mom got those yummy costco cupcakes and put toy cars on the tops of all of them. Too bad we don't have a picture of those either. They looked really cute. We had those big blow up balloons that you hit (don't know what they're called) for all the kids that came and a cute little card that I made with my cricut for everyone to sign in with their favorite memory of Teagy and his first year. One of my favorites and most frequent memory in the book is how his Uncle Shane terrifies him and makes him cry every time he is around. Luckily now that Teagy is almost 15 months, he is starting to warm up to him.

I had also set out his baby book which was completed for his whole first year so you could see how much Teagan had grown each month. I can't believe how much one little person progresses in such a short amount of time. I want to look back and know that I relished every moment of those years that we will never get back and look to the future with

Since Teagan's birthday invitation has his 11 month pic on it, I think the above pic might be the only 12 month pic I have of him. lol. I love that little party hat on him.

I attempted to make my own cake for him... and yes, I'm sure you're saying that you have no idea what it is. I suddenly gained a new respect for people that make cakes and realized that I am NO cake decorator. Since Teagan loves things that spin, this is supposed to be a pimped out wheel with rims. I was going to attempt to have it on something that turned and spun, but I think that was dangerous. You can see that part of the icing is missing from when I almost dropped it and messed part of it up from it hitting the side of the lid on the cake carrier. :(

Do you see how cool these spinners are? ha ha

Got all of these cute matching "Happy 1st Birthday" at All-a-dollar! We got banners and balloons and utensils. It was really cute and colorful.

So, like I was saying before... Teagan did not have fun the first part of his birthday. This is what he was like when we tried to have him eat his cake in front of everyone watching him.

This is what he was like after the majority of the people left. He was a lot better.

I had to put up his, "Oooooooooooooo" picture.

It took him awhile to get messy with it. We kind of had to help him along. I don't think he liked how it squished in his hands at first, but after a long while of sitting there watching him, he started to loosen up and dig in.

One moment please... I must drink some milk in between bites. (PS. Teagan is off the bottle now- Wahoo!)

Mommy & Teagy

Daddy & Teagan opening presents.

This is what started the whole balloon thing. Teagan LOVES balloons now! We have to retire dead balloons all the time and get him new ones. He carries them around in our house constantly. Beware of ceiling fans that are on!

Girls Night Out!

Last night we had a Girl's night Fondue Party! It was way fun!!! ...not to mention, much needed. It was funny how we all started "un-loading" something that was on our shoulders the moment we walked in. We all brought stuff to dip in cheese and chocolate and the night was filled with a lot of good conversation and laughter. It has started to be a Christmas tradition to get together with the gals and just be girls. Thanks for the great night girly's! Same time, same place next 2010.

Ho Ho Ho.... Merrrrryyy Christmas Everyone!

lol. Yeah, so Teagan is frightened by Santa. Isn't this picture hilarious?!

Jeremy got to give it a 2nd go around when Santa came to his work. I think he might have been a little better.... just as long as his daddy stayed near by.

First Visit to ER

Look how tough this kid is. ha ha He got stitches the other day when he slipped and fell in the bathtub. Thank goodness it didn't cut his eye. But you can see where it cut right above his right eye. Poor little guy. It happened on Sunday and I was working at home. Jeremy came running in with Teagan who had a wad of toilet paper hanging from his head and blood trickling down his little face. Surprisingly he wasn't crying though. The cut looked terrible and very deep. Since Teagan wasn't too upset about it he took him to Instacare, but they had him go straight to ER. I guess it was pretty traumatic. They had to hold Teagan down and give him a shot in his cut after wrapping him up tight so he couldn't move while 2 nurses held him down and put his head in some vice that wouldn't let him move his head. It broke my heart that I couldn't be there, but then again, it would've made me cry. I'm glad his daddy could go and be tough for him. Teagan got 8 whole stitches and a scar that will be there for life. :(

Joey took this picture the other day when we went to 5 Guys Burger and Fries, just 2 days after the little guy got them done.

BEFORE Haircut Mohawk:
He is pulling his famous "Oooooooooooooooo"

Can't you hear him saying his famous phrase, "Whas' That?!" while pointing at the camera.

Teagan's Favorite Things

Here are a few things that Teagan loves.
  1. Music: Teagan just loves listening to music. If he's ever upset when we're in the car driving, we just have to turn up the music and he will quiet down right away. He loves dancing to upbeat and jazzy music and especially loves listening to Christmas music right now. I think he might be able to carry a beat even. He gets embarassed to dance around Jreemy though. It's funny. He only dances with mommy and stops when daddy starts watching.

  2. Wheels and anything that spins: He will try to turn over every car and truck to spin the wheels on the bottom. Even if you have a stroller or if it's Jeremy's dads oxygen tank on wheels, he wants to spin it.
  3. Balls: Teagan is all boy. He loves playing catch and throwing balls. He will entertain himself at home just pushing balls around the house.
  4. Ceiling Fans: His favorite place to go is the hardware store and to be in the ceiling fan and light section. He just points and says, "WOW! OOOOOOO! What's That?" over and over. He loves to watch them spin around and round.
  5. Lights: Teagan loves to watch the lights turn on and off and seems fascinated with the illumination of light that it gives. We can entertain him forever turning the lights on and off.
  6. Baby Einstein: He learned how to say "Baby" the other day in sign language. I caught him watching it and following along. He is so smart and catching on to thngs so quickly.
  7. The Lawrence Welk Show: I found that this show will entertain him for as long as Baby Einstein does. He loves listening and dancing to the music that they play.
  8. Daddy, Daddy and more Daddy: Boy, this kid is sure a DADDY'S BOY! He doesn't want anything to do with me when Jeremy's around. He follows him around like a lost puppy. Jeremy can't get anythig done unless its with one hand because he is always holding Teagy.
  9. Dancing: Along with the music, dancing is a natural thing. He dances and dances all the time. It is so cute to watch him shake his little bum.
  10. And last, he loves Books and loves me to read them to him. He loves the touchy, feely Usborne books but always seems to pull the "The Early Bird" book out by Dr. Seuss. He will pull all the books off of his shelf and always bring me that book to read to him (even though he only has the attention span to point at the pictures and have me tell him what everythign is right now).

Italian Masquerade

So, I know I haven't posted in forever. But I had to just do a short post and put this up. My good friend Angie had her big 3-0 birthday and she had an Italian Masquerade over at the Tuscan Villas in Orem. It was awesome! We got together a week earlier of her party and made our own masks. Yes, I made both mine and Jeremy's mask. I should take some close ups of them and post them. Anyway, Angie's friend Bethany, who is also a photographer, did a photo shoot with everyone that wanted their picture taken. She just sent our pictures to us. They look great! This one was my fav.

Thanks for the fun Ange! Now I've got to come up with something cool for my next big 3-0... not to mention, it's my GOLDEN Birthday too!

RIP Matt

Our long time roomie, Matt, has finally decided to spread his wings and move in with some other college buddies over by UVU. I think he finally got sick of hearing a crying baby and needed to re-evaluate what single life is. lol We are sad (but excited to take over his space). Loves Matt!
