Ok... Here's my update.
- GOT A JOB... yay! AND, I'm working with a lot of people I used to work with (different place). It's been a lot of fun so far. I started last week!
- Ok, back to this TRAX thing, cause it's become my new funnest thing to do... So, Jay and I went on TRAX last week and when we were coming home we caught the very last one out of SLC to find out that we ended up at the UofU when we were headed to Sandy. If you are reading this and don't know where this is all at.... Let's just say we ended up in the wrong, wrong direction. So, when we asked the driver if we were going to Sandy he rolled his eyes and had to call someone else to meet him in Murray to take us to Sandy. We didn't get home 'til 1 am. :( Then I had to start my new job the next day. Not fun!
- While me and Jay were in SLC we saw the Mo-Tab practicing for their Christmas Music & a Spoken Word. It was all decorated with lights and Christmas trees. SO FUN! I'm all pumped up for Christmas now. I can't wait. I've started making plans for Christmas already and everything. Yay! (You can see the high tech phone picture with Jay in front of the Christmas Deco with MoTab. I know, I know... I'm quite the photographer)
- Still not good at the violin. Neighbors still hate me. Franklin barks at the violin... well, only when I play it. :(
- Jay found an awesome job in AZ and will be moving back there. :( ...even though I'm sad she's leaving me already.
- Have started planning a trip to NYC with Lyntel-Bean since everyone got to go and I didn't.

Blog Worthy Items
- Can you believe I rode TRAX yesterday for the first time since it's been in? It's been in a whole FIVE YEARS! I'm a loser. Natbiskit showed me the life I've been missing out on living right here in Utah. We rode TRAX up to downtown SLC and walked around. Nat-B tried to give me the tour of Mexico which would consist of non-certified Mexican restaurants with no refrigeration to see if I could pass the test. Wouldn't ya know... the first (and second) place we went to - - - CLOSED! :) That should say something. jk
- Nat-B (Do you love that everyone has a "Name") and I walked around.... No, I take that back-- I jogged and broke out a sweat while Nat walked, and I was so excited to pick out clothes for Nat and do a makeover. Apparently Nat always buys and THEN tries on clothes at home. ???? Who does that? (BTW this is a "Blog worthy" item for Nat. It is really true when I say, "NEVER tried on anything BEFORE buying". We've moved mountains with this breakthrough.)
- I pulled a classic "Tara" and tripped on the street in SLC ...and BOY was it pretty! Those of you who are around me all the time will definitely find it humorous (and of no surprise)
- Week 1 of Violin Lessons: I can successfully play: Tucka, Blackberry, Catepillar, Twinkle-Twinkle and Father & Mother. (I feel like I'm 4 yrs old again. Ahh the memories). Ok... well, all of these songs consist of the exact same notes with different timing, but they are all different, right?
- I also saved the violins life yesterday. I went downstairs to tune it with the piano that is in my garage (which by the way, I made worse and had to bring it over for Grandma to re-tune) and while walking back upstairs I.... Yep, you guessed it... I totally tripped and thought that the violin was a goner. The hand made violin from Australia that my grandmother told me to treat like I would my own baby. Ouch! I was thankful I could bring it over for her to re-tune it in one piece.
- I actually painted my first canvas painting tonight. Pretty fun. I've only ever taken one art class and that happened to be in 7th grade. I tried to copy a picture of the cover of one of my art books. You can see the fine job I did in this high quality photo that I took of it tonight and the look alike next to it. I bet you can't even tell which one is the real one and which one I painted, right? I am just a woman of wonders I tell ya. ;) jk
- Going to Lagoon all day tomorrow so that I can get sick and puke. That will be fun. Maybe I will take before and after pics to post up the following day. Ahhhh... the life with no job. I think I actually like this life.
- May-gee mooter when home with her mom and her new official dad to Vegas (jen & pres got married). So, now Fwank-winn is back to be an only child for a bit.
AND... one last final thing, I wish I was in NYC with all of the old Unicity folk who are there for convention. Miss you guys! Am thinkin' of you while you're in Time Square and I'm here writing this blog.

New Lessons
This ought to be a hoot for most of you out there. I've decided to take up the Violin again. I used to play when I was younger and never carried on with it when I moved from UT to CA. I called Grandma Pat up to ask her about teaching me again and she went quiet for a minute then asked in disbelief, "What did you say?" She is excited to see how much I still remember. I could probably break out Twinkle-Twinkle and not in a good way either. I'm sure my neighbors will become very aware of this new treck I'm entering into. My first lesson is on Tuesday of this week. Wish me luck everyone!

Park City
This weekend my CA dad came up through Utah on his way up and back to Wyoming. He went up to visit his father as well as look for a new cabin. While he was in WY, he purchased the H2... AND, even more impressive than that, it wasn't white! Up until this last year, every vehicle he's owned has been white. He's branching out of the bubble. :)
Anyway, I was able to go spend some time in the 2 bedroom, Park City Marriott Suite with him, Mary, Lacy, Jeff and the new baby, Breyton. We went out to dinner and had some of the best steak I've ever had. Yumm! I don't even know where we went but it was gooo---ooood. I then got lost on the way out driving home at midnight with my good sense of direction and all and called my friend Jorell who is from Park City to navigate. Then I drove over to Granny Coco's who was taking care of the little ones (Frank and May). I was too tired to drive home at that point.
Park City- Day 2
So, my dad gave me a parking pass and the room key to come back up to PC the next day. Meo and I drove back to PC and enjoyed a day at the Park City Art Festival. I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at art and art galleries. It was pretty much a perfect day for me. Meo is a fair skinned gal and wasn't diggin' the sun and heat too much. She wanted to stay where it was air conditioned and was worried that one side of her face was redder than the other side. :) haa...
After spending the whole day looking at art, we stopped off for a nice cold Dr. Pepper and Pepsi to head home. We met up with Little-T and gabbed 'til 9 or 10 at night and then proceeded over to Chili's for some grub. Afterwards we made a girls night out of it and finished off the night with Seinfed episodes and the movie Hitch. Today made for a tired day at church. zzzzzzz zzzzzz....

New Joseph Smith Movie
So tonight I went to the new Joseph Smith movie over at the Joseph Smith building in Salt Lake City with my mom. The movie was very well done! I pretty much cried like a baby, so it was good that my mom came cause she's a baby too. Just like Legacy, I was very impressed. The message came through strong and clear. Ever since my grandparents served a mission in Nauvoo and I visited there a couple years ago, I have had a greater appreciation for the early saints that went through so much trial and turmoil for the cause of truth. I never had an understanding for it all until that week long Nauvoo trip with my mom and my aunt. This movie was a good reminder of the way I felt so compelled to be humbled during my visit to Nauvoo.
In short, I can re-affirm my testimony of the gospel and of it's purpose here on earth. If I could meet one person, it would be Joseph Smith. As corny as that sounds, it's true. I admire the character of person that he was... from early child hood until the martyrdom. I chose this picture to put up of him because it is one of my favorites. This picture still hangs in his mansion home today, which is owned by The Church of Christ, formerly known as the RLDS church. Joseph and Emma's individual portrait was painted by an unknown artist that stopped by their home, just trying to make some extra money.
Overall, I've left with a feeling of motivation to remember what my values are and the importance of our purpose. Tonight at institute our teacher gave a good analogy. He said, "If you're mowing a lawn, you'll mow a straight line if you keep your eye on something in the horizon (or just far away), but if you keep focus on things that are really close to the mower, you will never mow a straight line." How this relates to my life in particular? Well, it stood out to me in that I can get so wrapped up with my short term goals that I don't always have the end result in focus and sometimes vere a bit. This movie puts the eternal perspective back out there for me to look at and will help me to get by for a little longer until my next "humbling" epxerience comes along.

Life with no job
Well... Now that I don't have a job and just finished my Business Administration degree, I am sitting here at home just being a stay at home mom with 4 dogs (yep, you heard right... FOUR). My friend, Jaybird moved in with me from California about 2 weeks ago since I chose not to take the "husband" route. At any rate, it's been nice to have Jay here. It's so much nicer to live with your friends when you are excited to come home when they are there.
Jen just moved to Vegas and is getting married soon and I'm dog sitting her little Pug, Mayzie or May-gee Mooter as I call her. Jay has 2 enormous dogs, a lab and a lab/shephard mix and then we have my little Franlin or Fwank-Winn as I say to him. (I know, disgusting isn't it?)
Today, I'm making a portfolio for myself and am just going to clean and organize. What a fun day I have planned for myself.
